After qualifying from group, Indian women player Anupama Ramachandran was on verge of elimination in first knockout match while playing against her compatriot Ishika Shah. Anupama was down 2 frames, where the first one she lost on black ball.

On the other side, Ishika failed to convert her handsome lead of 2 frames into match win and lost the third frame. This can also be said as brilliant recovery by Anupama.

Ishika, however, did not want to give up so easily. Despite heavy trail and need of four snooker on pink, she succeeded to place two before getting bad in-off.

After excellent recovery, Anupama had best chance to win the match. With same intention, she crafted a quality break of 33 points to lead 42-8. After few more visits, she raised her score to 67 against 16 and won the match.

Anupama will not meet top-seed Yulu Bai for the match to enter medals round.
