The 2009 IBSF World Snooker Championships (Men, Ladies, Masters) are being held in the city of Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh State in India.

About The Location

About The Venue

The championship will be played at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), a world class, state-of-the-art facility that is one of its kind in South Asia equipped with all the modern amenities.

HICC is a pillar-free internal hall that is not only sound proof but also create an ambience of a Five Star Ball room. 20 tables for the championship and 6 tables for practice will be used.

The total area which encloses all 20 tables and visitors area is more than 20,000 sq ft. The seating capacity around the playing arena can accommodate 750 spectators.

The players will have a lounge for relaxing and internet facilities will also be available for your use at the venue. Food and refreshment counters have been arranged for.

Other Arrangements

Host association is negotiating with major airlines for discounted air fare and will give more details to enable players avail best discounts on air travel

All players and officials will be provided complimentary lunch on all event dates by the Host association in tieup with Venue / Hospitality partners

All players and delegates will be received at the airport and transport will be arranged to the hotel.

Shuttle Transport from hotels to venue will be available every 1 hour.

Sight seeing can be arranged for all those interested, at cost.

Guides will be available for city tour and for shopping on pre-arrangement basis.

The Host association has arranged 6 gala dinners, as of date, with local and international cuisine.

Medical help will be made available on call 24 hours hours.

Precautions to be taken

Players and officials are requested not to travel with any sort of illness, which may prompt Indian health officials to quarantine and confine them to hospitals.

Adequate measures are being taken for safety of all the players and officials. All the hotels and venue are equipped with Scanners and are under surveillance of the vigilance officers and state police network.

Players are requested to keep the secretariat of the host association officer allotted to your hotel on your movements and avoid going alone.

For any site tours you may request the host association for proper guidance and arrangements.

Do not carry any unwanted equipment or luggage to the venue as several political dignitaries and celebrities are expected to witness the event. The security may not allow additional gear.

Always wear and display your identity card (provided by the Host Association upon arrival). Without Identity Card you will not be allowed inside the Venue and host association will not be able to recommend you to the security officers.

Read and make yourself understand the do’s and don’t’s list provided (on arrival) along with your information pack.

Your luggage and valuables are your responsibility and host association will not be responsible for safe keeping of the same and you are requested to use the safe vault facility available at your hotel and do not trust your valuables to any one.
