The IBSF has adopted the changes to the rules of Snooker and English Billiards announced by the WPBSA in 2011. These rule changes come into effect immediately, and will be used for all future IBSF Championships.

Born on 25th October 1950, Mr. Hawley remained a great ambassador of sport. Apart from holding the post of President of the African Confederation of Cue Sports and African Pool Federation, He was a Board Member of WCBS (World Confederation of Billiards Sport) and was incharge of WADA regulations in WCBS.
He was also serving as Vice President and Treasurer of the WPA (World Pool-Billiards Association. President of African Pool Federation and African Confederation of Cue Sports, and the Board Member of WCBS.
It is a tough time for cuesports as his presence and guidance in cuesports was always valuable for its promotion. His vision, enthusiasm and energy had made him a commanding force in many projects.

Below are the newly updated Rules that have been adopted by the IBSF, and under which the IBSF 6 Red Snooker Championships will be conducted:
1. Delete the "Foul and a Miss" rule;
2. After any foul, the incoming player has 3 options:
3. A player cannot snooker behind a nominated ball after potting a red ball.
The inaugrual IBSF World 6 Red Championships will be held in India in early 2011. Further details will be available by early October.

The IBSF is pleased to announce the confirmation of dates and venues for the IBSF World Snooker Championships for 2009.
The World Under 21 Men Snooker Championship will be played in Kish Island, Iran from 3rd - 14th August.
The World Snooker Championship (Men, Women & Masters) will be in Hyderabad, India from 15th - 29th November.
Negotiations are underway for the World Billiards Championships and an announcement will be made once confirmed.
