Bolton crashes to Patel in Last 16

Matthew Bolton from Australia suffered a shock exit in last 16 stage of 2013 World Billiards Long format losing 742-750 in a closely fought battle to Nalin Patel (England) here in Leeds.

Joshi exit early; lost to Bhaskar in Last 32

Bhaskar kept the balls rolling for last 100 points to knockout former World No.2 and fellow countryman, Devendra Joshi in Last-32 stage match.

Bhaskar and Joshi, both were extra cautious and avoided any silly mistake that could lead any chance to other in last 32 match they played against each other. The match had no big break by either of them till both reach the 400 points mark on board but after that when Joshi missed a crucial shot, Bhaskar grabbed that last chance and converted into winning century break to step in Last 16.

Peter Gilchrist is top seed in knockout Long-Up format

After completion of Round Robin stage of World Billiards Long Up format, Peter Gilchrist from Singapore scored +1281 points with an average of 320.25 per match to win top seed position in knockout draw. He is followed by Ashok Shandilya, Martin Goodwill and Dhruv Sitwala scoring +1184 (296.00), +1177(294.25) and +876 (292.00) respectively.

Nalin, Rupesh & Hall tops their respective groups

Nalin Patel, Rob Hall from England and Rupesh Shah from India finishes all their group stage matches as No.1 in respective groups.

Nalin had finished his matches last night only whereas Rupesh and Hall played their last round robin matches today morning against Shekhar Surve (India) and Neil Bolton (Australia) respectively.
