All three Thai women players including defending champion enters World U21 medals round

Defending champion of World Women Under-21 Snooker championship, Nutcharat Wongharuthai and other two Thai women players Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan, Ploychompoo Laokiatphong confirmed medal for their country by winning quarter final bout here in Pingdu, China.


Nutcharat faced stiff competition from Indian player Keerthana Pandian before stepping in the medals round. Her first frame was close, which she managed to secure on pink ball game. Though second frame was easy and gave her 2-0 lead.

Keerthana, however, succeeded to recover by winning third frame 70-02 but in next frame Nutcharat curtailed her on single digit and scored 72-09 to confirm her entry in semi-finals.

The other two Thai players Siripaporn and Ploychompoo knocked out Chinese players Wang Ye and Xia Yuying respectively. However, another Chinese girl Yulu Bai confirmed medal by defeating former World Under-16 champion Anupama Ramachandran 3-0.
