WCBS NEWS: Cooperation with Olympic Channel

GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA – 6 MAY 2019

 
The WCBS signed a cooperation agreement with the IOC’s Olympic Channel during the SportAccord Convention being held at the Gold Coast, Australia. Billiards now joins with 82 other sports organisations within the Olympic Channel family. WCBS President said, “We are excited to have signed with the Olympic Channel, it will offer billiards further opportunities to develop its disciplines with so much extra global coverage.” The first event to be covered by the Olympic Channel will be the WPA World 10-Ball Championships scheduled for 22-26 July 2019.
 
Olympic Channel federation partners include international sports federations (IFs), recognised federations and organisations, multi-sport organisers and non-recognised federations. In addition to collaborating on live streaming and event coverage, the Olympic Channel provides an additional platform to its federation partners by distributing content that is complementary to current broadcast agreements.
