The IBSF would like to inform about the recent WCBS decision regarding the snooker member within the World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS).
The WCBS have made their decision and IBSF is now the recognized body for Snooker within the WCBS same as the situation before 2012.
The WCBS regard the IBSF as a properly structured global organization and therefore the correct choice to be the member.
The IOC recognition flows through the WCBS to the IBSF and its members. There is not another pathway for countries to achieve IOC recognition.
For the sake of clarity, it is important to note that the IBSF will represent Billiards as well as Snooker in the IOC through WCBS.
