The inaugural Qatar 6Red World Snooker 2019, sanctioned by IBSF, starts on Saturday in the Academy of Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation at Doha. The strong line-up of 32 participants from all four regions have now reached in Doha to compete for the winner’s prize-money of US $ 10000.
Last two days went for the qualification rounds and now we have 8 qualifiers i.e. Laxman Rawat, Aditya Mehta, Dhvaj Haria and Faisal Khan from India, Saleh Mohammed and Mohammed Rais Senzahi from Afghanistan, Haris Tahir from Pakistan and Ehsan Heydari Nezhad from Afghanistan.
Eight Groups have been prepared with four players in each group. Four sessions will be played for next two days for the round-robin matches and two from each group will qualify for the Last-16 stage knockout stage.
The round-robin matches will be played for best of 9 frames followed by knockout from Last-16 till Semi-finals, best of 11 frames and the final to decide the champion will be played on Tuesday, the 15th January 2019 for best of 13 frames.
