Thailand players Passakorn Suwannawat and Waratthanun Sukritthanes conquered World 6Reds Championships 2018 by winning titles in both the categories (Men and Women).
Passakorn defeated his compatriot Thanawat Thirapongpaeboon 6-2 in the World 6Reds Men Final whereas Waratthanun knocked out defending champion Ng On Yee of Hong Kong 4-2 in World Women 6Reds 2018.
Though Thanawat was on a fantastic run by crafting breaks of 59 and 67 in first two frames. He was set to take third frame also but despite having a decent lead he gave away five foul-nd-miss followed by ball-in-hand to Passakorn, which he won to cut the deficit.
After that Passakorn dominated in rest of the frames without giving much chances to Thanawat and won frames after frame to close the proceedings 6-2 in his favour.
In Women’s category Waratthanun Sukritthanes made hattrick of World titles. This is her third title of the year 2018. She won World Women Snooker title last month and World Women Team Snooker title just before this event.
Today Waratthanun made a comeback after losing first frame and won two frames to take 2-1 lead. Though Ng On Yee levelled the match by winning fourth frame.
That was alarming situation for Waratthanun as in fifth frame Ng On Yee gave tough fight but Waratthanun succeeded to seal that on black-ball game.
In sixth frame, she first obtained lead and then controlled the situation to win the frame and match 4-2.
IBSF President, Mubarak Al-Khayarin gave away the trophies to the winners alongwith President of Egypt Federation and other delegates.
