Multiple time world champion and ace women player of Thailand, Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan crashes out after long quarter-final battle that lasts for around 250 minutes. She lost to her compatriot Thitaphon Nakkaew in the deciding frame 2-3.

On her début in any international championship, Thitaphon performed really well and confirmed medal for herself, and for her country. She was number 2 in the group B and was schedule to play Siripaporn the quarter final match.

In all frames, Siripaporn established initial lead but she succeeded only in two out of them.

The first frame Thitaphon snatched away by just one point despite that Siripaporn had a break of 32 by Siripaporn just before. Though next two frames were capitalized by Siripaporn having another break of 31 points and took 2-1 lead.

Nothing can be more disappointing for a player when he/she is on the verge of winning line with a break of 51 points and 40 points lead but fell down drastically.

Sirpaporn couldn’t handle the snooker placed by Thitaphon and gave away 46 points in foul-n-miss. Even after that another snooker pushed Siripaporn out of the game and they both entered in the decider.

Siripaporn once again obtained lead of around 30 points in the decider when Thitaphon crafted break of 32 points to step ahead. Thereafter she maintained that lead to knockout Siripaporn from the competition.

In other quarter-final matches, the defending champion, Nutcharat Wongharuthai succeeds to medals round with 3-0 victory over 10-year-old girl from China Shao Jiayu. Nutcharat made four breaks having highest as 64 during this match.

The other two Chinese girls Xia Yuying and Yulu Bai also won their respective matches 3-0. Xia Yuying defeated Russian girl Alexsandra Riabinina, whereas Yulu Bai knocked out her compatriot and the debutant Cui Ting Liu.
