Pagett crashes out; Florian, Advani reaches Last-16 IBSF Media
World number two Andrew Pagett was the biggest casualty in the Last-32 knockout round of the 2017 IBSF World Snooker Men Championship falling to a 2-5 defeat to Malaysian player Kok Leong Lim.

The 22-year-old, Kok Leong led 4-0 in the best-of-nine match following 94 opening break. Second frame was crucial, which Pagett missed narrowly on black ball game.

Down 4 frames, Pagett made recovery by sealing fifth frame sealing 67-60 and went on with another frame win to cut the deficit to 2-4. In seventh frame, Kok posted another break of 73 to turn up a big casualty.

15-year old Florian Nüßle of Austria won the battle against Pawel Rogaza of Poland to meet Indian youngster Laxman Rawat in the Last-16.

Florian shown his temperament and maintained his consistency despite having tough challenge from Pawel. Till four frames they stayed equal and then Florian accelerated by winning two frames with a break of 74 in fifth.

Though Pawel snatched another frame to cut the lead. He further tried his his best to level again, but towards the end in 8th frame, Florian scored small but effective break to secure last-16 berth.

Seventeen times world champion Pankaj Advani of India was in imperious form with three 50-plus scores during his 5-0 success over Brazilian player Itaro Santos.
