Siddharth shown excellence to curtail former World Champion Gilchrist

Siddharth was in excellent form today morning and played high quality billiards to curtail former World Champion Peter Gilchrist of Singapore in the Long Up format group stage of 2017 World Billiards 2017.

Known for his never-give-up quality, Siddharth crafted a magnificent break of 268 and widened the gap between his and Peter’s score. Though Peter got some scoring shots but that wasn’t enough to chase Siddharth properly. Soon Siddharth reached the 500 mark against 102 of Gilchrist close the match proceedings.

With that Peter finished No.3 from the group and qualified for the knockout stage. He secured two wins from the group against Aidan Murray of Ireland and Yazan Alhadad of Syria.

The other player in the group A, Robert Hall of England will contest against Siddharth Parikh in the evening session where No.1 and 2 position will be decided.
