Ousting Htay, Parikh enters quarter finals of 150Up World Billiards

Indian cueist, Siddharth Parikh knocked-out Myanmar’s much experience and most consistent player Aung Htay 4-2 to enter in the Quarter finals of World Billiards 150Up championship 2017.

Siddharth was in commanding form since the start of the match. He started up with a break of 119, but towards the end he missed on total score of 130. Htay used that chance properly with by sending contribution of 96 and 56 points to take 1-nil lead.

Though Htay played quite consistent game, but Siddharth proved himself better and crafted breaks of 92, 67 and 102 in next three games to secure all of them.

However, fifth game again he lost but in next he emerged stronger and made 90 points break to close the proceedings in his favour 4-2.

He will now meet third seed Peter Gilchrist for the medals round bout.
