Host China in contest with Thailand for Under-21 Women snooker title

Yuying Xia from host nation China will now take on the defending champion Nutcharat Wongharuthai of Thailand in the final of 2017 IBSF World Under-21 Women Snooker Championship on the final day today at Beijing, China.

The semi finals were played between Chinese girls and the Thai girls to select the finalists.

In first semi final, Nutcharat Wongharuthai edged out her compatriot Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan in straight set of frames 4-nil. Nutcharat had dominated the entire match her way and won at ease.

The other semi final went slightly lengthier where Yuying Xia of China knocked out her compatriot Yulu Bai 4-2. The interesting feature of this semi final was setting up of new highest break for Women’s competition as 82 by Yuying Xia surpassing the previous best of 81 by Yulu Bai in league stage matches.
