Aung Htay from Myanmar has confirmed medal for his country by stepping in the semi-final of 2016 IBSF World Billiards Championship being played at Bengaluru, India.
Overall he played quite decent game throughout the competition and kept eliminating all his opponents so far in a gradual way.
Today after defeating former World Champion Rupesh Shah in the Last-16, he side-lined former World No.2 Alok Kumar 5-1 to confirm first medal for Myanmar in 2016 World Billiards.
Many from spectators are actually liking his style of playing and steady scoring. He also did not disappoint his fans and crafted total 7 breaks of 89, 70, 98, 79, 55, 52 and 57 in each game he played Alok.
Though Alok was also not behind and he scored breaks of 53, 56, 57, 55, 64 and 71 but most of the time he failed to give perfect finish.
Third and fourth game went close and remained disappointing for Alok but on the other side, Aung Htay capitalized both of them perfectly on time to widen the gap and that resulted in his almost one-sided victory over Alok.
