Gilchrist storms into Pre-quarters

After winning the Long Up format two days ago, Peter Gilchrist of Singapore, storms into the Last-16 knockout stage of Pont format keeping an eye for annexing the grand double, which is again a rare set of combination in the billiards and of course tough as well.

So far only two cueists have manage to grab the grand double, which are India’s Pankaj Advani who won the grand double thrice and Mike Russell of England who succeeded on two occasions.

After last league match of the point format, Gilchrist obtained the top seed slot after recording all match wins by giving away only two games in the total five matches he played.

Pankaj Advani secured the second seed position followed by Robert Hall 3rd and Bhaskar as 4th seed for the knockouts.

All pre-quarter matches are as Best of 7 games tomorrow morning.

The semi-final and final of the competition to be played on Monday the 12th December.
