Triple ton for Sourav
- Written by Vivek Pathak - Media Officer, IBSF
The Indian national champion Sourav Kothari compiled the first triple century break of the competition while playing against his compatriot Devendra Joshi.
The initial part of the match was sort of tug-of-war as already unqualified Joshi was playing his rhythmic game and had obtained lead.
Sourav was in contest to maintain his seeding and did not want to take a chance and explored some break building opportunities in which he succeeded and soon placed himself on proper position that helped him in compiling this outstanding break of 315 points. Later he scored remaining 50 odd points to close the match proceedings 500-272
