Wendy Jans - Belgium Wendy Jans - Belgium IBSF Media

The defending champion Wendy Jans from Belgium has already been succeeded in eliminating top two swingeing players in quarters and semis that she played.

In the quarter finals, she played with former European champion Tatjana Vasiljeva of Latvia and the high quality match won by Wendy 4-1.

She continued her dominance in the next round also and eliminated former world champion, Ng On Yee from Hong Kong with an identical score as in round before.

Both the matches were not easy and Wendy went through her best to counter the other two champions. But the road to the title is still not easy as she will now face the World Snooker debuting, Nutcharat Wongharuthai from Thailand, who has already announced her entry in the world of cue sports with medals in Junior and Sub-Junior categories. Here also she has stepped in the medals round defeating Jessica Woods of Australia and Charlene Chai from Singapore.
