Team China (Chen Zifan & Yuan Sijun) knocked out the title defender Team Malaysia in a one-sided affair and forced them quit early in Last-32 stage of Men’s Team championship.

Chen gave a brilliant start to his team with a sparkling century break of 101 points against Malaysian star player Moh Keen Hoo. Though it was not that easy to defeat Mohd. Reza Hassan, but Yuan managed that on black ball game 62-58 and secured the second frame too.

Malaysia tried hard in doubles frame too but did not succeed as Chinese duo won the frame 86-52 and advanced to pre-quarters.

Now team China will face India 4 (Laxman Rawat and Varun Madan) who ousted Team Hong Kong 2 (Lin Tang Ho and Chau Hon Man) winning the decider frame.

This match was also an exciting one where India 4 put in great efforts to gain 2-1 lead. But in fourth frame, Chau Hon Man crafted a worthy break of 57 points to level the match and set decider.

But in the end, Varun controlled the frame well and defeated Lin Tang Ho 52-32 to confirm entry in pre-quarters.
