Down 0-2 in his last group stage match of 6Reds, Varun Madan pulled up a good recovery and won 4-2. Third frame was crucial and Varun played very smartly to curtail the lead and then in next frame he hit the massive 74 points break to come at par against Ali Alobaidli of Qatar.
Once come at par, he was at ease and controlled the next two frames as well in his own style and sealed 39-03 and 41-06 with another break of 31 in last frame.
Another Indian player Laxman Rawat was also in smooth flow and started up with a break of 44 followed by 32 and 35 in last two frames to defeat Muhammad Faaris Khan of South Africa 4-1.
