IBSF enters into dialogue with WPBSA

Following fruitful discussions between Senior Executives at the IBSF & WPBSA this week, both parties have agreed to enter into formal dialogue on creating a long term cooperation agreement for the wider benefit for our sport. Items under discussion are; global transparent governance, creating career pathways from amateur to professional competition, World Billiards, World Ladies and Disability Snooker.

The general consensus is to scale up the activity, increase prize money and improve playing conditions the world over. It is felt by both parties that new initiatives could give a big boost for Billiards & Snooker both at the amateur and professional levels.

IBSF President Capt. PVK Mohan said "We are delighted with this progress, there is no doubt that the IBSF can make a significant contribution to the sport. There is much to do, but together we can achieve it".

WPBSA Chairman, Jason Ferguson said “A unified effort is the only way our sport should be run, we look forward to continuing this dialogue and we will make our professional services available to reach the best outcome.”
