IBSF News – Issue of Turkey

The Committee examined all the evidence and provided a report to the IBSF in which they recommended the suspension of the Member country as the complaint was found to be genuine.

The IBSF Board met on the 9th September in Bangkok and discussed the recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee and agreed with their findings, and as such on the 20th September suspended from the IBSF the Turkish Federation pursuant to 3.0 of the By Laws of the IBSF Constitution.

This matter will now be subject to ratification at the AGM in Hurghada in Egypt.

It is also noted that a few countries have represented to the IBSF for revoking the suspension. Giving due regard to their representation, it is decided to give an opportunity of hearing before the Board to the Turkish Federation to enable them to submit their explanations for reconsideration/recalling/review of the suspension recommended by the board. If, however, the Board finds that no valid grounds have been made out for reconsideration/ recall/review of the suspension, the matter will be placed before the AGM for ratification.
