Timed Billiards begins today

After successfully accomplished 150-Up World Billiards championship last night, the 'Timed' event has now begun here at Oceania Snooker Acadey, Adelaide, South Australia with the final to be played on Sunday, the 27th September.

In the first session today morning, the players got involved in crafting big breaks without any barrier of 150. Amongst them, Devendra Joshi scored 153 and 98, Pankaj Advani scored as many 127, 160, 166, 221, 173 and 157; Michael Pearson had 101 and 148, Binh Nguyen made 160 but the highest was from the cue of last night champion, Peter Gilchrst who crafted 379 along with other breaks of 107, 112 and 113.

The only upset in first session was 150-Up format bronze medalist, Nalin Patel of England, who lost to India's Dhvaj Haria by 252 points. Haria played throughout with the finest touch and produced breaks of 107, 123, Even at last, he ended up with a well crafted unfinished break of 140 to close the match proceedings of two hours.
