9 time World Champion, Geet Sethi from India, has resigned from the board of World Billiards Limited. He joined the board in the year 2012 when World Billiards Limited was formed in association with International Billiards and Snooker Federation.

It is understood that Sethi took this step after IBSF and WBL parted ways. When contacted Sethi said that his understanding was that the split between WBL and IBSF happened because of Jim Leacy, board member of WBL and former president of IBSF. He also said that WBL will now have only a regional role and it is for this reason that he had resigned from WBL board.

IBSF has already announced the World Billiards Championship that will take place from 20th to 27th September 2015 at Adelaide, Australia. Details about this championship will be made available to member countries very soon.
