IBSF Women's Ranking Tournaments
Dear All,
This is to advise you that the IBSF has decided to provide 4/5 Ranking tournaments for the female players around the World. To this end a Women’s Committee has been formed and they are at this time discussing the entire project from the entry system onwards to the benefits to the players not just at the events but ultimately for the seeding at the IBSF World Championships.
More details will be available shortly but at this time the effort is to have 4/5 tournaments and possibly expanding in the future.
Tentatively, Sharm-el-shaikh has suggested dates of August 24th - September 4th and the Australian Federation the dates of October 8th - 11th. Offers are awaited for at least 2 more possible host countries to conduct the tournaments in early May and July. As soon as these offers come in, a detailed calendar will be rolled out. Member countries are welcome to express their interests.
More information will be posted in the coming weeks so keep watching the website for the same.
These tournaments are open to any member of the IBSF provided that country is registered with the IBSF. There will be entry limitations per country as for all IBSF championships, but further details of this will be available shortly.
A points allocation system will be introduced for all events and the Rankings will assist in the seeding for the IBSF World Championship.
