Pankaj Advani has done it again. Just 5 days back, he won the World Billiards Championship (Point Format) and today he made it 'Grand Double' for this year by winning the Timed Format as well. He beat Robert Hall of England 1928-893.

By the score line it looks like one-sided victory but actually it was not. Advani had played against Robert Hall in the league stage and was well aware of Hall's capacity to make big breaks. Hence he took no chance and kept raising his lead at regular interval.

At the end of session I that lasted for 150 minutes, Advani was leading by 261 points (746-485) but in the second session he accelerated his lead vigorously knowing well that Hall can make a comeback at anytime. He allowed his flow to go on and executed every shot with perfect timing. Eventually he did not leave any loose shot for Hall to take on.

Delighted Pankaj said "He made Grand Double in 2008 at Bangalore but it is always great to win outside home and I just can't describe my emotions now because it has been crazy here. I have also worked really hard to win some of the major tournaments this year."

In the prize distribution ceremony Advani acknowledged Robert Hall as the most improved player of this season and mentioned that winning against him was not so easy.
