Bhaskar reached into medals round of world championship

Making career's first entry into medal round of world billiards championship, B. Bhaskar of India will surely be delighted with his performance in this year's championship. Today he knocked out the defending champion Peter Gilchrist to place himself in the semi finals. He beat Peter by 211 points (797-586).

Bhaskar had shown good determination in today's match and was executing much controlled shots. Starting with a break of 80 points he made 105, 104, 204 during the match and finished with breaks of 72 and 74 points. On the other side, Gilchrist failed to stay longer on table and none of his break reached three digit. He delivered the highest 92 in today's match.

Bhaskar will now take on Robert Hall of England who also won his quarter-final match by a margin of 251 points against Devendra Joshi of India. None of them executed any big break and kept rotating their visits on the table.

The other half of the draw will see Pankaj Advani of India and David Causier of England in the semi final clash. Both are well-known for big breaks and hope that match may have an exciting finish.
