Causier fastest to clear last-32 hurdle

Defending champion, David Causier of England was quick to enter in the Last 16 stage of 150Up format of World Billiards Championship 2014 here at Leeds in England.

He finishes his best of 7 games match in 78 minutes and defeated his compatriot Jonathan Marwood 4-0. In each game he kept scoring constantly and produced magnificent breaks of 91 and 54 in first, 65, 128 unfinished in second and third game, and closed the match proceedings with an unfinished break of 151 leaving no chance for Jonathan to score any point in last game.

The another match that finished just now is of Pankaj Advani (India) where he defeated Larry Drennan (Ireland) 4-0 to meet Causier in Last-16 stage. The match is scheduled for the evening.

Last night Nalin Patel shocked multiple time world champion Rupesh Shah. Shah had a good start and pocketed first game with a break of 71 points but miss of second game by narrow margin cost him a lot. Despite having a break of 105 points, he missed by 8 points only.

After that Nalin got good control in the match and scored 74 points break and sealed seal next game as well. Fourth game was full of tension and excitement where Rupesh had good chance to set decider but he failed on 143. After that the much controlled break of 34 points by Nalin was enough to shock former world champion Shah.
