Both the Russian women players Anastasia Nechaeva and Daria Sirotina will see each other in the first semi final tomorrow morning. The second semi final will be played between Thailand's Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan and Latvian player Tatjana Vasiljeva.

The first quarter final was between Anastasia Nechaeva of Russia and India's Vidya Pillai. Anastasia received tough contest from India's Vidya Pillai in two frames but more determined Anastasia captured both the frames on black ball to register 3-1 win and entered into semis.

Vidya won the first frame and had chances in second but Anastasia clinched the frame to level at 1-1. She dominated in the third frame and gained 2-1 lead. Vidya had chances to come at par in the fourth frame but Anastasia edged her out by winning the frame 27-21 and match 3-1.

The other Russian women player, Daria Sirotina, brushed aside Arantxa Sanchis (India) 36-13, 42-03 and 34-13 to see her compatriot in the semis.

Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan of Thailand played exceptionally well and thrashed reigning world under-21 champion, Jessica Woods (Australia) 3-0. In first two frames Siripaporn crafted two breaks of 32 and 34.

The last quarter-final was really tough and timely recovery by Tatjana Vasiljeva of Latvia helped her to confirm semi final berth. The entire match swung like a pendulum and it could be anyone's win. Amornrat Uamduang of Thailand started with a break of 32 points but more experienced Tatjana Vasiljeva played much controlled shots from 2-1 down to come at par and next to win the decider 3-2.
