The match between Ryan Thomerson and Shivam Arora went till the decider frame where Ryan capitalized well to knockout Shivam. Ryan after losing first frame secured next two to get 2-1 lead with a well crafted 65 points break in third frame. However, Shivam leveled at 2-all with a counter break of 54 points in fourth frame.
Further they both won the alternate frames and set a decider at 3-all. In the decider, Ryan got better with a score 34-17 to outplay the current bronze medalist at Last 96 stage.
