Drastic loss for Soheil Vahedi

Mohamed Ibrahim of Egypt snatched his first 6Reds match making an upset of the day. He defeated former World No.4, Soheil Vahedi by winning the decider frame. Soheil Vahedi gave a brilliant start with a break of 67 points and had no major trouble in next two frames as well. Even in the fourth frame he had scored 32 points but it was the day for Mohamed Ibrahim who pulled that frame by scoring a break of 42 points.

Ibrahim did not stop there and controlled rest of the frames as well to register phenomenal victory over former World No.4 Soheil Vahedi.

Though there was some consolation in the Iranian camp as World Under-21 champion, Hossein Vafaei Ayouri registered comfortable win over Iqshaan Alladin of South Africa.

Hossein had a brilliant chance in second frame to score maximum for 6Reds (75) when Iqshaan had a bad opening break and scattered all red balls for hossein but after potting first red he missed an easy black pot. However Hossein won the frame and later registered 4-1 win.
