Peter Gilchrist from Singapore won his maiden World Billiards (Long-Up) title under the banner of IBSF-WBL here in Leeds, England. Before this, he had won the World Professional Billiards championship twice in the year 1994 and 2001 but never got to win the championship conducted by IBSF.

In the final he defeated David Causier from England who recently won the short format World Billiards title last week.

David accelerated to maintain lead till he reached the 600 points mark but after that Peter put in successive breaks to go ahead and never looked back behind. Peter was leading by nearly 150 points by the end of first session that he increased to 343 points by the end of second session (1303-960).

It was clearly evident that Peter is going to lift the title unless any miracle happens from David's end that eventually did not happen and Peter crossed the hurdle successfully to becomes Billiards king for the year 2013-14..
