Bolton crashes to Patel in Last 16

Matthew Bolton from Australia suffered a shock exit in last 16 stage of 2013 World Billiards Long format losing 742-750 in a closely fought battle to Nalin Patel (England) here in Leeds.

In form Nalin made his intentions clear in the beginning only by producing a break of 136 points followed by 79 to take handsome lead over Bolton.

Bolton considered to be one of a tough opponent in this championship proved his mettle and countered by producing three successive breaks of 142, 164 and 171 to step ahead Nalin.

The real battle began after that where Bolton started taking lead and Nalin countered every time he got the chance.

Lately, Bolton got a chance to wrap the match but when he was 8 points behind, missed an easy drop cannon leaving all open. Without wasting that chance, Nalin made an unfinished 64 points break to knockout Bolton.
