As a member of the Austrian Snooker Federation the 1st Union Wels Billard-Club arranges the IBSF World Championships 2008 starting from October 27th till November 8th 2008.

In the run-up to these Championships the "legendary" International Austrian Snooker Open will be held from of October 23rd to 26th, with a total prize money of Euro 30.500 (~ USD 48.500).

The venue for both tournaments is the same and serves the participants of the World Championships an ideal opportunity to prepare appropriately and get known of the circumstances.

Many popular professional players like Mark Selby, Ken Doherty, Jimmy White, Ryan Day, Mark King, Ian McCulloch and many many more have visited and still will attend this event.

Beside this extra event we will offer attractive side events like a poker tournament or a players-party.
