It is with great pleasure that the IBSF has received from the Afghan Billiards & Snooker Federation all the necessary documents to join the International Billiards & Snooker Federation.

Afghanistan has participated in the last Asian Championships in Dubai and I had the opportunity to meet with its leaders.

In a country still shaken today by a civil war, it is always heartening and promising to note that there is still enthusiasm for the sport and I send to the Afghan Federation my welcome and best wishes and success with the IBSF.

It is at the IBSF Annual General Meeting during the World Championships in Austria this November that we need to ratify the membership of the Afghan Federation
