Future Cooperation between the IBSF and Cuefactor
20 Dec 2007
During the World Championships in Korat, I had the pleasure of welcoming Neil Tomkins, director of Cuefactor, who came especially from Wales to visit us.
Cuefactor is known in UK and also now in Europe, for its handicapping system designed to promote the game and to make it easier to integrate new players and the measure the progress made by players.
Through a system of mathematical calculations, Cuefactor is able to make the practice more attractive for all amateur competitions.
Neil was invited by me, to present these projects to the IBSF Board meeting and also attend the General Assembly.
Further discussions found that Cuefactor could also provide a classification ranking system much more responsive and precise than the basic set up by the IBSF last year.
First simulations are quite impressive and we must now define how the IBSF and Cuefactor will be able to determine the course of their partnership relations.
I am personally very pleased with this new and future collaboration and I am sure that the IBSF will find in Cuefactor a new partner of great value!
