Making the draw for the Scottish B&SA
20 Nov 2007
I’ve been invited by Steve Baillie, the Chairman of the Scottish B&SA, as he is so far away from Scotland at the moment, to make the draw for him as Steve obviously cannot make the draw in public in Scotland as he usually would.
The 24 players Tournament is the 4th ranking event for the Under 19 and will be played on the December 1st in Spencer Stirling.
This meeting was also a good opportunity to talk to Steve on how we should together prepare a meeting next year in Glasgow during the European Team Cup, to meet all the key people regarding the inclusion of Cue Sports for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
I will definitely take into consideration what I have witnessed in Doha during the Asian Games and also in Macau during the Indoor Asian Games, and yesterday with the draw for the SEA Games.
After many years involvement, the ACBS has gained the vital experience of managing the Cue Sports events in the different Games placed under the responsibility and the authority of the IOC.
We should use this experience that the ACBS has gained to prepare a submission document, influenced by what the ACBS have successfully achieved in Asia.
