IBSF U21 Ranking
05 Sep 2007

The IBSF Under 21 Ranking List has now been updated after the last World Championship in Goa India.

This is the Top Ten:

1- CHINA 259 Points
2- IRELAND 158
3- WALES 156
4- ENGLAND 141
5- THAILAND 135
6- NTH IRELAND 100
7- SCOTLAND 86
8- BELGIUM 80
9- AUSTRALIA 70
10- EGYPT 70

With 3 Medals in Bahrain in 2005 and one Silver Medal in India, China now has a comfortable lead and is currently dominating the IBSF U21 Rankings.

Ireland and Wales are very close, and only the total number of centuries break (1 point per century break) is making the small difference.

With the magnificent victory of Michael Georgiou in India, England have come back into the race, after their disappointing results in 2005 in Manama.

Scotland has been penalised, as only one player has played in India this year, as the ranking system is calculated from the two best results of two players.

30 countries are now ranked after two events.

Points System ( with 64 players)

Qualification Group : 10 points
Last 32 : 20
Last 16 : 30
Last 8 : 40
Last 4 : 45
Bronze : 50
Silver : 60
Gold : 80

Bonus : Each century break : 1

The full ranking list will be published soon on the IBSF website.
