This is the message sent by the CPB to all the South and North American Billards & Snooker Federation after the IBSF World Championship in Hyderabad.

For sure the great performance of Igor Figuereido will contribute to change the future !

Dear Friends:

As you surely know, Mr,. Igor Almeida Figuereido, Brazil´s player into the IBSF Snooker World Championship held recently in India, caught the Silver Medal as the 2nd positioned player in that competition.

Mr. Almeida Figuereido excellent performance gave the biggest surprise to everybody and made his country´s name mentioned in an honor place during and after the tournament. His attendance to the WC was possible because the CPB granted our approval to Brazil became as third American Continent Country forming part of the IBSF. We want to thank the IBSF for their aknowledge to us as the American Continent Billiards Governing Body.

We are glad with the news and hope this will be a turning on to our Snooker practicing countries to become IBSF members individually. There are missing two countries only for the CPB representation into the Snooker World Governing Body be totally effective and - when it is done- our members´advantages will multiply.

It is worthy mentioning the IBSF has invited us to participate in some World Championships on 2010 and they are waiting the 2010 Snooker Pan American Championship to be held -as other competitions as well-- in our regional countries which will count on the IBSF approval and we could have the visit of representatives of such high world organism. This information has been already sent to you and hope you read it and considered for your 2010 planning and budgeting.

All you can do to become IBSF members as individual countries, will harvest many fruits in the future. .
