It is now official that the 2009 IBSF World U21 Championships will take place in the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kish Island.

This was confirmed last week by the President of the Iranian Federation of Billiards & Snooker (BBFIR), Mr Ali Akbar Shabanifard, while addressing the IBSF with all the relative information for this event.

The competition is confirmed for August and will take place in a hotel (Eram Big Hotel) that will welcome all participants.

The hosting Federation has negotiated an exceptional room price : 50 USD for a double room with breakfast and taxes included !!

10 Championship tables and 4 practice tables will be used.

For logistic reasons, only the Men's Championship will be organised in Kish Island, with the U21 Ladies Championship being transferred to India.

The Island of Kish is a great tourist place of Iran and all conditions will be united by the BBFIR and the IBSF to make these Championships of a very high quality and standard.

The IBSF will in a few days be sending to each Federation all of the information to allow the entry of their participants.
